Post-hardcore act A Day to Remember and sludge metallers Mastodon lead the second lineup announcement for Soundwave Festival 2014.
38 bands join the likes of Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold and Megadeth on the already mammoth bill for the February/March festival. Among them include Finnish rockers HIM, emo stalwarts Jimmy Eat World, punk veterans Pennywise, mathcore outfit The Dillinger Escape Plan and death metal legends Satyricon.
Two acts originally slated to play the cancelled Harvest festival have now migrated to the Soundwave lineup - the Conor Oberst-fronted Desaparecidos as well as New Orleans group Mutemath.
It's the first time on Australian shores for a number of acts, including Crosses, the latest project of Deftones frontman Chino Moreno. There's also a fair share of local love on the announcement, as Australian bands The Porkers, Dream on Dreamer, Thy Art Is Murder, Deez Nuts and In Hearts Wake all join the lineup.
What's more, it looks like there's still more additions yet to be announced, as festival head AJ Maddah tweeted last night.
