Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!

More Sounds Australia More Sounds Australia

After two successful years, SOUNDS AUSTRALIA will return to South America in 2018 for another trade mission.

The delegation made up of music industry folk will head to Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil in late November to build networks and relationships in the region with support from the Australian Government.

Delegates for the 2018 mission include; Andrew Stone (Chugg Music), Coco Eke (Bad Apples Music), Joel Byrne (Music SA / Sundial Productions), Joshua Olson (Hillsong Music), Katie Besgrove (Look Out Kid / Barely Dressed Records), Maggie Collins (BIGSOUND / Morning Belle), Sabrina Robertson (Native Tongue Music Publishing / Maths & Magic) and Rowan Robinson (Macro Music).

In true blue "put a shrimp on the barbie" style, SOUNDS AUSTRALIA will also present The Aussie BBQ to showcase three local acts in Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Alexander Biggs, Deep Sea Arcade and Birdz will all rep the Aussie colours at the events with the addition of Jess Cornelius and Chela in Brazil.

Speaking about the opportunity, Millie Millgate, Executive Producer of SOUNDS AUSTRALIA said, "The key to building effective pathways and access for Australian artists in international markets is continued investment and a commitment to returning to new territories.

"One-off visits, whilst enjoyable, are not strategic and we are grateful that DFAT through COALAR have shared our vision and supported consecutive trade missions in order to harness the increasing opportunities being heralded for Australian artists and music companies across Latin America.”
