Sony Music Australia have begun 2015 with a series of changes, with the company's Chairman and CEO Denis Handlin announcing several promotions within its local operations and the Asia region.

Dan Nitschke will further his almost two-year role of Director, Content Integration with the added responsibility of directing Sony's advertising and media buying strategy.

Sony's Asia business will see a number of changes, with Andrew Smith given the new title of EVP & CFO Asia Pacific, though he will remain based in Australia.

Ariel Fung will take on greater responsibility on top of his current Managing Director roles for Hong Kong and China, with the role of Executive Vice President, Marketing Asia given to him in the wake of former General Manager Marketing for the region, Tim Kelly's departure. Kelly, who joined Sony last year from Universal Music Australia, has officially left the company to pursue other interests with Sony saying: "Tim's departure was all amicable and the relationship remains very strong."

Other changes in the Sony Asia camp include Roslyn Pineda's promotion to Vice President, Marketing and Jay Jung, who has been appointed the Managing Director for South Korea.
