Australian singer-songwriter John Swan, better known as Swanee, will release his first solo album in eleven years this August.

His forthcoming album, Believe, will be released on Friday, 1 August. Songland Records Frog Harris has powered Swanee’s epic return, describing the comeback album as “the biggest project I’ve been involved with in my 45 years in the industry.”

Believe will contain 16 tracks, 15 of them duets with his family and friends. Special guests on the album include his brothers Jimmy Barnes, John and Alan, Jon Stevens, Colin Hay, Diesel, Joe Camilleri, Wendy Matthews, Russell Morris, Dave Gleeson, Rick Springfield, Jack Jones, Ian Moss, Steve Kipner, Tommy Emmanuel, Kevin Borich, and Mahalia Barnes.

Swanee’s forthcoming album will be sold as a 16-track CD and double LP, and for a limited time, the Songland Records team is offering free postage. To secure an album from the physical release, you can call and pay over the phone to Songland on 02 6293 4677, or purchase the album via Swanee’s website, where you can also listen to a minute of each track.

Harris has dubbed Believe an “absolute cracker of an album,” sharing pride for Swanee’s latest musical creation and Songland’s efforts to independently distribute the album.

Harris added that there won’t be a full digital release of the album “for quite a while” to ensure more money goes to Swanee for his music compared to streaming services.
