Something With Numbers' Singer Is TikTok 'Air Fryer Guy'

Something With Numbers vocalist Jake Grigg has found his way to fame on TikTok, but not in the way you might expect. Rather than going viral for his musical exploits, the frontman for the 00s emo/indie-rock Central Coast favourites has gone viral for his air frying expertise. Labelling himself the 'Air Fryer Guy' Grigg has taken the world by storm with his inventive use of his air fryer, collecting 1.8 million followers on the popular video-sharing platform. 

Followers are treated to a variety of unique recipes, often inspired by fast food dishes, accompanied by some very catchy jingles. See him in action making a delicious plate of desert nachos with his nephew below.

In his role as Air Fryer Guy, Grigg has released a cookbook of his recipes, started a popular podcast and also made appearances on mainstream TV outlets. You can view his appearance on The Today Show, where he makes 'Big Mac Spring Rolls' and writes an impromptu ditty on ukelele about the delicious dish.

The combination of Grigg's infectious energy, musical talent and cooking expertise is honestly delightful and more than a little addictive. It's like he has found a way to channel the hooky nature of Something With Numbers Apple of the Eye (Lay Me Down) into everything he does. The jingles also show that he has lost none of his grasp of melody. 

The Air Fryer Guy cookbook Pimp Your Fryer is available now and promises to be "a recipe book that is not only fun and light-hearted, but one that promotes creativity and challenges the fundamentals of cooking." Some of the recipes included in the book are 'Air Fried Sliders', 'Ferrero Rocher Poppers', 'Caramilk Poppers' and 'Wagon Wheel Pies'.

 As for when Grigg will return to making new music with Something With Numbers, that's anyone's guess, the band last released music in 2013 in the form of the full-length Eleven Eleven.
