The classic Goanna song has been re-recorded three times as some of Australia's finest celebrate the song's 30th anniversary.

Three new versions of the iconic 1982 Australian classic Solid Rock, written by Shane Howard and initially performed by his band Goanna, have been recorded to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

The first version, Solid Rock-Puli Kunpungka features the voices of the children of the APY lands as well as special guests Archie Roach, Amy Saunders, Blue King Brown's Natalie Pa'apa'a, Emma Donovan and Myra Howard. The second version called Solid Rock-Sacred Ground sees the song transformed into a spatial ballad. Both versions are available through iTunes now.

A third version of the song, Solid Rock – Stronger Now, has been recorded with Pa'apa'a and Dan Sultan and will be released in in November.

As well as these new versions of the song, a live show by the name of The Other Side Of The Rock has been put together and will be performed for the first time at Uluru on Saturday 6 October as a part of the Mutitjulu Community Carnival.
