British synth-pop duo Soft Cell have announced their first-ever Australian tour, due to arrive down under in April 2025.

For their debut Australian shows, Soft Cell are set to perform their seminal album, Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret, as well as a string of greatest hits. The shows will also feature a solo set from frontman Marc Almond, who will perform all his solo hits.

“I have always wanted to go to Australia. Over my 45-year career (yes, that long), fans have always asked me when it might happen, so overjoyed to say that it is happening,” Almond commented in a press release. “And to perform both as Marc Almond with my solo hits and then transform into Soft Cell on the same night will be another first. Everyone tells me Australians love to party, and it promises to be something very special.”

The tour begins at Perth’s Riverside Theatre on Thursday, 10 April, followed by Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Sunday, 13 April, Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday, 15 April, and wraps up at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Thursday, 17 April. Aside from the Brisbane concert, all shows are licenced to fans of all ages.

After Soft Cell parted ways in 1984, the band reunited for shows in 2000 and said they’d play their last UK show in 2018. Having stuck around, Soft Cell played huge shows in 2021 and 2023, and now Australians finally get to see the Tainted Love hitmakers.
