Social Family Records Sign Damien Leith From Sony

Joins Baby Animals and Electric Empire on the roster

Former Australian Idol winner Damien Leith has split with Sony Music and is set to release his next album through independent Sydney label Social Family Records.

Joining a roster that includes Baby Animals, Electric Empire and Steve Balbi, amongst others, Leith is making the jump after seven years with the major label who he signed to as part of the reality TV show's conditions.

Social Family's Managing Director Jake Challenor, who is also a partner in digital agency Jaden Social and the founder of artist management company Billy Blue Music, said that the deal marked “a new chapter” of Leith's career.

His new album will be released Friday 1 November.
