A Halloween gift from the former Dogg sees him in a cartoonish wonderland. It's weird.
The world was nothing but confused and perhaps a little amused when hip hop superstar Snoop Dogg announced he was undergoing a transformation and would become a reggae artist to be referred to as Snoop Lion.
Well Snoop Lion has dropped a single called La La La, produced by Diplo's Major Lazer, and a bizarre film clip to go along with it, directed by Hostel director Eli Roth. The song is certainly reggae, though with some decidedly urban R&B touches, and the film clip is one of the more bizarre things we have seen Snoop involved in – and that's saying something.
It starts off with a bunch of kids asking Snoop why he changed his name and then descends into… Well, you should probably just watch it for yourself.
Highlights of the clip:

Snoop standing in a coffin, holding a pug
Snoop wearing a very un-pimp plush lion suit, flanked by a panda
A pineapple smoking a joint
A turtle riding a giraffe
The (creepy) fact that there are a bunch of scantily clad ladies and a bunch of young girls all dancing along
We haven't even touched on the robot, the band of apples or the boat yet… Watch the clip here.
Snoop Lion's first album Reincarnated, and an accompanying documentary, are due for release soon.
