Dance-pop duo Sneaky Sound System are set to help prove tennis can actually be fun by headlining this year's Heineken Saturday party at the Australian Open.

The Sydney-bred act follow in the footsteps of acts such as The Presets (2013) and Pete Tong (2014) as headliners for the event, which this year features The Mole host Shura Taft as MC and special guest Mark Philippoussis to celebrate the sport's best and brightest as part of the "Legends Of Tennis" theme of the day.

Heineken Saturday will be held, fittingly enough, at the Heineken Beer Garden, Grand Slam Oval, Melbourne Park, from 10am on Saturday, 24 January.

But, given that the Australian Open is more than just a one-day deal, there's far more music on offer for the discerning punter than just the single day of festivities: from 19 January through till the competition's close on 1 February, the Grand Slam Oval's Heineken Live Stage will light up with performances from the likes of Megan WashingtonSheppardDaryl BraithwaiteThe PreaturesDiesel and Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows alongside many more.

"The Australian Open is the biggest sporting event in the world in January and we know our fans come to experience the great carnival atmosphere as well as the top tennis action," Tennis Australia chief executive Craig Tiley said in a statement. "It’s only fitting we have an all-Aussie music line-up to entertain the crowds, and 2015 promises to be the best ever."
