Stalwart Sydney group Slumberhaze are getting ready for the release of impending single Silence by making a whole lot of noise — namely, a 10-date tour to keep them nice and busy from late November through mid-December.

Kicking off at Wollongong's Rad Bar, the upcoming route includes performances in Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, Brisbane, Port Macquarie, Melbourne and Manly (two shows) before returning to Sydney once more to play the Factory Theatre alongside Elliot The Bull.

The journey will come in the wake of Silence's release, the song encapsulating the band's self-described 'dark colourful pop' strains. From its synth-splashed opening bars to its airy, infectious choruses and everything in-between, Silence is a considered and thoughtfully arranged slice of genre-defying deliciousness that straddles the line between artistry and accessibility with aplomb.

The track follows earlier efforts such as Neon Demon and Nothing But You, both of which garnered the band rotation on triple j and Double J. Additionally, the band already have a trilogy of EPs under their belt — Rhyme, Rhythm and Romance — and frequently attract near-capacity crowds to their home-town shows as their renown continues to build and spread.
