Slaves' guitarist, Alex Lyman, has announced that he is leaving the band to focus on other endeavours. Don't worry, he has not actually gone missing.

The somewhat brief statement from Lyman can be found below.

"I’m going to skip the super long statement for this one and just say that this tour we are on right now will be my last tour with Slaves and I will no longer be a part of slaves. I’m in the middle of collaborating on a new CD with my good friend Anna Clendening that I think you all will really like. I hope to see some of you again or meet some of you I haven’t before on the remainder of this tour. This choice is a big relief for me and i hope you guys can support that."

Now, what's curious about Lyman's departure is that he mentioned that the choice was "a big relief" for him, and that may be because of the fiasco between the band and their label, Artery Recordings, a few months back, and/or also stemming from the group being kicked off Warped Tour last year due to some allegedly shady actions of singer Johnny Craig.
