The unstoppable Aussie continues her hot streak
Freshly certified multimillionaire Sia can add another multi- prefix to her CV, with the Aussie-bred superstar now a multiple pre-indication nominee for the annual People's Choice Awards, picking up four nods across the board.
The People's Choice Awards utilises a two-stage voting process — first, a longlist of potential nominees is presented to the public (voting for which has only recently closed). Once those results have been compiled, polls will open later this week, at which time the full list of 2015 nominees will be publicised, to determine the winner from the shortlist of most-voted-for artists, celebrities, TV shows, albums, and so on.
The 1000 Forms Of Fear mastermind got the preliminary nods for the categories of Favourite Female Artist, Favourite Pop Artist, Favourite Album (1000 Forms Of Fear), and Favourite Song (Chandelier). US artist Ariana Grande was preliminarily nominated in the same four categories — the only other artist from that pool of awards to do so — getting the album nod for My Everything, and two tips for best song (Problem and Bang Bang).
In the uncut favourite female artist cateogry, Sia and Grande faced competition from the immortal Barbra Streisand, Beyoncé, Iggy Azalea, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Meghan Trainor, Miranda Lambert, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.

In the final category, favourite song, Sia rubbed shoulders with fellow pre-selects Meghan Trainor (All About That Bass), Nico & Vinz (Am I Wrong), Charli XCX (Boom Clap), Iggy Azalea (Fancy, feat. Charli XCX), Maroon 5 (Maps), Magic! (Rude), Taylor Swift (Shake It Off), Sam Smith (Stay With Me), and Jason Derulo (Talk Dirty, feat. 2 Chainz).
Voting for the winner from the top five shortlisted nominees opens on November 4; the 41st People's Choice Awards go down on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre.
