UK-based rapper, pop star and cultural icon Shygirl has today announced two headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
She will perform at Manning Bar in Sydney on the 4th of January and Max Watts in Melbourne on the 6th of January. The tickets are currently on sale.
Shygirl returns to Australia fresh off the release of her critically acclaimed and fan adored debut album Nymph. The record was created with a close-knit group of friends and collaborators including the likes of Sega Bodega, Karma Kid, Cosha, Mura Masa and Arca.
The album's track list sees Shygirl present her inner self-reflection, wrapped in a glaze of experimental vocal tones, deconstructed dance melodies and reveals an extreme level of intimacy between her and her cult like audience. Its equal parts pop music, contemporary hip hop and dance music, a unique sonic blend that while ambitious, Shygirl delivers on confidently and perfectly.
Alongside the album, Shygirl has become one of the in demand artists in the world. Last year saw her release a collaboration with FKA twigs on Caprisongs track papi bones, release slowthai featuring BDE as well as starring in Burberry's AW21 presentation, claim a prestigious spot in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list and team up with Mura Masa to remix Lady Gaga and Blackpink's Sour Candy.
