Voting is still open for the People's Choice Award
Shellie Morris & The Booroloola Songwomen took out this year's NT Song Of The Year Award for Ii-Anthawirriyarra a-Kurija (Saltwater People Song) at the annual event held last night.
The song was named overall winner after also being honoured in the folk category earlier in the evening. It caps off a successful twelve months for Morris who was named 2014 Northern Territory Australian Of The Year as well as already being recognised with the National Indigenous Music Awards' Song Of The Year prize.
Now in its third year, the NT music awards this year attracted 340 songs by musicians from across the territory.
