'Warnie' and 'Liz' will take us through the proceedings
Multi-faceted performer Eddie Perfect and his Shane Warne the Musical co-star Christie Whelan Browne have been confirmed as the hosts of the upcoming Helpmann Awards.
The pair will lead the proceedings at the ceremony, which is now in its thirteenth year. The Helpmanns will take place at the Sydney Opera House on Monday 29 July.
Perfect himself has won two of the prestigious awards in his career. In 2009, his production on Warnie saw him take home the gong for Best New Australian Work. His show Misanthropology won him the Best Cabaret Performer award in 2011.
Whelan Browne, who stars as Liz Hurley in Shane Warne the Musical, is also well known for her breakout turn as Patty Simcox in the 2005 production of Grease and her one woman show, Britney Spears The Cabaret.
