Next year, the RISE-funded program Sensible Soiree, presented by Sensible Antixx, will expand its horizons and host a new hip-hop show for kids.

Aimed at 2-12-year-olds, Sensible (little) Soirees will host Australian Hip-Hop icons, Mantra, N'fa Jones, Jess Fairlie and more next January to perform two one-hour shows for different age demographics at Melbourne Arts Centre in The Channel.

The event promises crowd participation, percussion and a safe and inclusive environment to release your inner rapper, soul singer or poet.

Creator, Sensible Antixx, has commented on the inspiration behind the show, saying, “So often our artists ask if they can bring their kids to our shows, and as they’re usually 18+ events, we have to decline. Kids are surrounded by music before they’re even born, we want to treat the whole family to a Hip Hop show that everyone can be a part of!”

This event is a protected inclusive show (breakout room available and wheelchair accessible). You can purchase tickets here.
