Self Talk Unveil Headline Tour Dates In Honour Of Upcoming EP

12 July 2017 | 4:04 pm | Staff Writer

The Melbourne indie band has a swag of new goods to share

Melbourne indie outfit Self Talk will release their eagerly awaited new EP, Almost Everything, next month, setting off in its immediate wake for a five-date headline tour with their mates in Brief Habits.

Landing on Friday 11 August, Almost Everything is preceded by the release of new single Bedside Dictionary, the second tune to be featured from the extended player (following April jam Old Habits).

According to a statement from the band, the new tune dives into the territory of "relationships that don’t really get past the beginning, not because they don’t work or the people involved don’t like each other, but it just doesn’t go any further".

"It's about the various things that come with that, how it might feel, the frustration or disconnection, or even just acceptance, really," they said.

The seasoned five-piece will kick off their run of shows at home in Melbourne, with a show hitting The Old Bar on Saturday 12 August, before heading on to Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane, where they end the tour a fortnight later at The Milk Factory.

Tickets for all shows will be available at the door for a meagre $10 entry.

Almost Everything is up for pre-order now. It'll be released digitally via Inertia Access and on vinyl through Lost Boy Records.
