She's bringing Joe Jonas' band along too

Having cancelled her 2014 Australian tour, pop star Selena Gomez has finally announced she'll be bringing her Revival World Tour to Australia this August on a three-date arena extravaganza.

The highest followed person on Instagram with 80 million followers (having surpassed bestie Taylor Swift's 78 million followers this past March), Gomez recently dropped her second record Revival, spawning hits Good For You, Hands To Myself and Same Old Love, all of which will be front and centre when she hits Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane from 6 August to 11 August.

She'll be bringing along boy band DNCE on the tour, founded by fellow Disney Channel alumni Joe Jonas. DNCE won't be playing in Brisbane however.

Last year, the 23-year-old singer and actor opened up about her battle with autoimmune disease lupus, for which she underwent chemotherapy during the time she was supposed to tour Australia.

"I was diagnosed with lupus, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke," she told Billboard. "I wanted so badly to say, ‘You guys have no idea. I’m in chemotherapy. You’re assholes.' I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again."
