Seekae Announce New Album And National Tour Dates

28 May 2014 | 11:55 am | Staff Writer

'The Worry' will be open for pre-order from July 13

London-via-Sydney-bred trio Seekae are squarely back in the spotlight today with the announcement of the release date for their forthcoming third album The Worry and a series of national shows in support of it.

Dropping via Future Classic on September 12 this year, The Worry follows the Australian Independent Music Award-nominated band's acclaimed debut The Sound Of Trees Falling On People and sophomore LP +DOME, promising to further build on the three-piece's existing ambient-electro-pop-post-rock-post-dubstep themes and aesthetics.

Two years in the making, The Worry will be available for pre-order from June 13 and marks the first time percussionist Alex Cameron will feature on vocal duties. As a taster, the band has made available new single Test And Recognise, which you can duly get amongst right here:

Seekae will be joined on the tour (except in Darwin) by a special guest, local troubadour Jonti (formerly D'animals), who holds the honour of being Australia's only signee to Stones Throw Records and just took part in Vivid LIVE's Avalanches tribute show at the Opera House this weekend gone.

The tour will commence in Darwin on Saturday 9 August at the Darwin Festival, and take in capitals Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne before wrapping up on August 23 at Sydney's Metro Theatre.
