Festival organisers have issued a statement.

A security guard working at Good Things Festival in Sydney this past weekend has died following a "medical episode".

A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed to The Music that the 46-year-old man suffered the episode at the front of one of the four stages at Parramatta Park on Saturday.

After being treated on site, the man was taken to Westmead Hospital where he died. Police are now conducting inquiries into his death on behalf of the coroner.

US band Mayday Parade's 5.45pm set was delayed while paramedics treated the man.

Good Things Festival organisers issued a statement on Facebook following the man's passing on Sunday morning.

"In Sydney yesterday we lost one of our incredible and much loved security advisors," the statement reads.
