Scene Queen has announced her first-ever run of Australian tour dates, taking her unique brand of “bimbocore” across the east coast this September.
The quick jaunt will consist of three back-to-back club shows, kicking off at Stay Gold in Melbourne (Naarm) on Thursday September 5. Hannah Collins and her band will head to Sydney (Eora) next, playing the Crowbar the following night (September 6), before wrapping up at The Brightside in Brisbane (Meanjin) on Saturday September 7.
Tickets for all three shows go on sale at 9am this Friday (July 5), following a presale that kicks off at the same time this Wednesday (July 3) – head here for more info on both sales.
Announcing the tour on Instagram, Collins said; “After four years of fans tweeting, dming, emailing, sending messenger pigeons, and countless letters in bottles via the Pacific Ocean; I am finally visiting the great nation of Australia. I promised to make the wait worth it, so you’re getting the longest headline set I’ve ever played. So buckle up, listen to the new album, and get ready to shake your AUS.”

The tour comes in support of Collins’ debut album as Scene Queen, Hot Singles In Your Area, which arrived just last week via Hopeless. In the lead-up to its release, Collins dropped six singles: 18+ landed first last March, followed by Pink Push-Up Bra in September and MILF in November, then Finger back in March of this year, Stuck (a collaborative effort with 6arelyhuman) in April, and finally Whips And Chains in May.
In a press release, Collins explained that her goal with Hot Singles In Your Area was to spread a message of empowerment, encouraging listeners to embrace their confidence, sexuality and individuality. She said: “I hope listeners are able to feel safe in their skin with this record like I have. Something about not caring what anyone else thinks has done wonders for my confidence and I hope I’m able to spread that and empower others along the way.”
