Very sadly, UK 80s metal legends Saxon will no longer be appearing on the bill for the upcoming Soundwave Festival.
According to tweets from Soundwave organiser AJ Maddah, the band has had to cancel due to "a combination of album recording running late and illness in the family". Rather than a replacement band, Saxon's set time is now split between Slayer and Dimmu Borgir.
The band were also scheduled as headliners for two Sidewave gigs with The Sword, who it appears will now become headliners for those shows, though this is not yet officially confirmed.
