It’s out of warehouse and into the cities for SANDBOX, who have just announced the line-up for its national festival series.
Beginning life as a warehouse-focused event series in Sydney, SANDBOX has swiftly grown into one of the most-discussed hard dance movements, boasting immersive production, emotionally charged atmosphere, and a community-first approach to electronic music culture.
Now, following four years of sold-out events, SANDBOX is going national, announcing a festival series which will hit capital cities this September.
Launching at Brisbane’s Superordinary on September 18th, the fest will head to Sydney’s White Bay Power Station before visiting Melbourne’s PICA and wrapping up in Villa Perth on September 27th.
Organisers have also announced the line-up for its inaugural event, bringing together a mix of hard bounce, hard dance, hard techno, and schranz to deliver a bill packed with international acts, local talent, and plenty of Australian debuts,
For its first line-up drop, organisers have name-checked the likes of Malaysia's Jovynn, US producer Beauz, Russia's Zapravka, along with Germany's NEGITIV, and Sydney’s own HIJCKD among others.

“SANDBOX Festival represents everything we’ve been building toward over the last four years,” says festival organisers. “What started as a vision within Sydney club culture has evolved into a national movement built around music, connection and experience.
“This first edition is about creating something Australia can truly be proud of.”
Regarded for its impressive production and immersive delivery, each city on SANDBOX’s debut national run will feature world-class sound systems from either L-Acoustics or d&b Audio Technik, while Sydney’s edition is set to expand across three stages including dedicated spaces spotlighting emerging Australian artists.
Tickets to the first edition of SANDBOX go on sale from Monday, June 15th, with a pre-sale launching on Tuesday, June 9th.
