Samuel L Jackson & Kurt Russell To Join Quentin Tarantino In Aus For Premiere Of 'The Hateful Eight'

Film geeks across the country understandably lost their marbles a few months back when it was announced that acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino will be heading to Australia next month for the premiere of his highly-anticipated film The Hateful Eight and the news has only gotten sweeter with confirmation that the movie's lead actors and Hollywood legends Samuel L Jackson and Kurt Russell will be joining Tarantino on the trip Down Under. 

The trio will walk the red carpet in Sydney at Event Cinemas George St on 13 January for a special premiere of the film in 70mm, as well as conducting a Q&A the following night at the Cremorne Orpheum, followed by an additional 70mm screening. 

They will then move on to Melbourne for yet another Q&A screening at Village Cinemas Rivoli on 17 January, though Jackson's appearance is yet to be confirmed. 

Tickets for the two Q&A sessions will go on sale this Thursday — check the cinema websites for more details.

The Hateful Eight will screen in 70mm exclusively for one week from 14 January, before its digital release commences from 21 January.
