Sampa The GreatZambian born, Botswana raised and now Sydney based Sampa The Great is set to accompany French-Cuban duo Ibeyi as they tour Australia for the first time with their hybrid Yoruban, French and Afro-Cuban sounds. Sampa The Great will join Ibeyi on the Sydney and Melbourne dates.
Ibeyi consists of twin sisters Lisa-Kainde Diaz and Naomi Diaz, who began their world tour two years ago at the age of 19 and who will showcase their recently released, self-titled debut album in an immersive, intimate live setting.
Sampa The Great has enjoyed success coming off the back of her debut release The Great Mixtape and received the 'The Big Thing' honours at the FBi Radio SMAC Awards early in 2016.
