He dishes to us ahead of his Aussie tour
Indie hip hop master Sage Francis has revealed the name of his upcoming 2014 album in a recent interview with The Music.
Speaking to Chris Yates ahead of his tour with Sweden's Looptroop Rockers, the Rhode Island born artist threw caution to the wind and gave up the title for his next release – Copper Gone.
“I haven't made it public yet because I don't like naming a baby before the third trimester, but since we're on the cusp of that, fuck it. The title of the album is Copper Gone.”
Francis made the decision on the title prior to kicking off the LP's writing progress, which is still in session.

“I knew the album title before I knew what kind of lyrics or songs the album would consist of. I'm still writing it actually. (I'm) Straddling a deadline like two drifting continents.”
The album is the follow-up to 2010's Li(f)e and will be a lot different to its said predecessor, according to the Strange Famous Records founder.
“Since Li(f)e is so chilled and laid-back I always planned on having a more punchy sound on the next release, something a bit more raw. Nothing is set in stone, but that's been my aim,” Francis admitted.
Francis will be performing in Aus throughout mid-December – check out the dates in theGuide below.
