First of the 100+ artists announced

Australian rock favourites British India and reunited Hottest 100 winners Augie March will join with some of Australia’s country music legends at next year’s Urban Country Music Festival.

Presented by The Music, Lee Kernaghan and Beccy Cole headline the festival’s bill while Jetty Road, Christie Lamb and 8 Ball Aitken also feature on the first artist announcement.

To be held from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 May 2015 in Caboolture, Queensland, the festival is making a concerted effort to include rock urban and indie music into their usually country-heavily line-up this year. They expect that over 100 local and international artists will be announced to play across six stages by the time the line-up is complete.

British India guitarist Declan Meli said today, "We love Queensland shows and always have a great time every time we go. We have heard great things about Urban Country and it's going to be blast playing rock'n'roll alongside some Australian country legends." the band’s Declan Melia said.”
