Swedish pop icon Robyn will return to Australia in November for her first run of shows Down Under in fourteen years.

Touring in support of her highly anticipated forthcoming Sexistential – the follow-up to 2018’s Honey – the tour dates follow the recent news that the Dancing On My Own hitmaker would open for Harry Styles in Amsterdam this May.

Robyn will play two shows in Australia this November: at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, 21 November, and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday, 24 November. In addition to her Australian shows, Robyn will perform in Europe and North America, marking her first major tour since 2019 and her biggest-ever headline shows.

Mastercard cardholders can access pre-sale tickets on Wednesday, 11 February, at 10 am local time – as well as the preferred ticket sale on Friday, 13 February, at 12 pm local time. You can find more details on the Priceless website.

The Mastercard pre-sale is followed by the Live Nation Members pre-sale, which opens on Thursday, 12 February, at 11 am local time. The general sale begins on Friday, 13 February, at 12 pm local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Live Nation Australia website.

Known for her unique brand of electrifying dance music often backed by melancholic lyrics, the trailblazing Robyn last visited Australia in 2012, performing at Parklife Festival while promoting her Body Talk trilogy, all of which were released in 2010.

Upon announcing her new album last month, Robyn unveiled the first two singles: Talk To Me and the title track (following the pre-release track, Dopamine).

Following the club music meditations on Honey, Sexistential is packed with nine playful pop songs that tie back to her era-defining Body Talk trilogy. Robyn explained that her forthcoming album is designed to feel “like a spaceship coming through the atmosphere at a really high speed and crash landing. That’s how I felt, like I’d had all these experiences searching too far out into space, and now I’m crashing back into myself.”

The punchy new record follows themes of emotional and biological pleasure, needs, and softness. While the album title initially started as an inside joke, Robyn settled on it when she realised it displayed what she wanted to say.

“Exploring my sensual life is the same feeling as when I make a good song,” Robyn said. “It’s such a beautiful, kind of sensitive vibration that takes so much work to keep afloat. I feel like the purpose of my life is to stay horny - it doesn’t even have to be about sex, but it’s feeling sensual and attracted to things that I enjoy and not letting anything take over that.”

Sexistential will be released on Friday, 27 March. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.
