The Cat Empire ProfileThe multi-award-winning, beloved Riverboats Music Festival returns in February 2027, marking a milestone year: its 15th anniversary.
Across three days (Friday, 19 to Sunday, 21 February) and on just one stage – no timetable clashes here – the festival will be held on the banks of the Murray River on Yorta Yorta country at Echuca-Moama with yet another ripping example of a line-up featuring Australian and New Zealand talent.
Festival favourites The Cat Empire will headline next year’s edition of Riverboats, joined by country music icons Fanny Lumsden and Troy Cassar-Daley, plus acclaimed songwriters like Henry Wagons and Ella Thompson.
The line-up also features folk trio The Waifs, hip-hop pioneers The Herd, and rock bands such as Spiderbait, Floodlights, Mulga Bore Hard Rock, The Gnomes, and more. Check out the full line-up below.
Despite the significant changes to the festival landscape over the last 15 years, Riverboats remains fiercely independent, regional, and one of the most affordable multi-day music festivals on the live music calendar. For the 2027 event, three-day adult tickets are going for $260, with single-day and kids tickets available at lower prices.
Tickets will be available on Thursday, 8 October, at 9 am local time, and they’re expected to go quickly. Secure your tickets via the Riverboats Music Festival website.
Next year’s Riverboats will be held at its home, the Echuca Aquatic Reserve, once again – following a successful string of events in 2024, 2025, and this year – after initially being temporarily relocated for the 2023 festival due to flooding.
