Things are heating up.
Just a day after it was confirmed 21st Century Fox had officially terminated its agreement with Channel Ten, it is now being reported rival networks, Seven and Nine, are looking to swoop in on hit shows such as The Simpsons.
According to News Corp, both the Seven and Nine networks are interested in picking up the iconic animated series, as well as other Ten shows like This Is Us, Modern Family and Futurama.
"We are always interested in engaging content so we'll be accessing the opportunity that has emerged," Nine's Director of Acquisitions, Hamish Turner, said.
Meanwhile, Seven's Director of Programming, Angus Ross, made it clear that a bid for some of Ten's former programs could be imminent.
