GrimesCanadian performer and producer Claire Elise Boucher, aka Grimes, has revealed on Twitter today that she will unveil three new songs at the upcoming Governors Ball festival in New York City, and that one of those had actually been intended as a song written for Roc Nation labelmate Rihanna.

Blood Diamonds is a frequent collaborator of Grimes', the latter of whom's last recorded work was the 2012 LP Visions. Although Grimes has mentioned previously that she is currently at work on the follow-up to that album, there hasn't been much development on that front, so these new tracks - 'irregular' Grimes included - might provide the first tangible taste of what she's been working on.
Yes, New York is a long way away, but there's bound to be YouTube footage of the new tracks sooner or later. Take heart, and keep yourself warm in the interim with some of the classic stuff.
