Report From Pinterest Suggests A Rise In ‘Rave Aesthetic’ This Year

“As Gen Z and Millenials recover from over two years in lockdown, they'll take over nightclubs, warehouses and house parties all over the globe."

An annual report by Pinterest has today predicted that rave culture and fashion will see a spike in trend this year.

It expects that “rave fashion” would be at the top of new trends in 2023 alongside superfoods, origami, the colour orange and puppy pool parties.

Pinterest predicts that “rave culture will reign in the year ahead,” as a reflection on the increased amount of searches surrounding the culture. Searches of “house music outfits” are up by 185% where as “Berlin rave fashion” is up a whopping 250%.

“As Gen Z and Millenials recover from over two years in lockdown, they'll take over nightclubs, warehouses and house parties all over the globe. Techno style, rave fashion and house music outfits are all trending up,” Pinterest suggests.

The report continues, “Gen Z and Millennials are reigniting their love for rave culture and it's signature aesthetic. People want to find inclusive, freeing spaces where they can let loose and dress however they like.”

Other trends that have been increasing this year include, “walk in showers”, “romcom core” and “primal workouts.”
