This is going to be huge.
Beloved Sydney studio and the longest running professional recording studio in the southern hemisphere, Studios 301, is about to reaffirm its position at the top of the Australian music industry yet again with today's announcement that construction is underway on a multimillion-dollar recording facility.
The construction and upgrades of the studio, which has worked on a number of songs and albums from big-name acts including Prince, Kanye West, Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga and Coldplay, will aim to set a new benchmark in the industry.
Studios 301 will continue to operate, though their services will be offered at temporary locations throughout Sydney.
"We are thrilled to be writing the next chapter in Studios 301’s ninety year commitment to the Australian and global music industry," co-director Paul Ledingham tells The Music.

"This new world-class facility will be our contribution to ensuring that the Australian music community has not only the large format studios we are famous for, but a new progressive platform from which talent can engage with the world today and years into the future."
The full details of the new facility and temporary studio locations are to be announced at Studios 301's 90th birthday (and official ARIA week event) on Thursday, 17 November.
