Venue trying to find a new location.
Beloved SA comedy club The Rhino Room is set to close its doors next year to make way for a new hotel and apartment complex.
As Adelaide Now reports, the venue, established in 1998, will be kicked out of Frome St next May in favour of a proposed 36-storey building, set to be the largest in the state.
Sibling venues, Urban Cow Studio and The Howling Owl will also be forced to move on.
It is reported that the Kyren Group bought the site from Adelaide University last year for $27 million.

"I'm really disappointed with the building department and their attitude to take the simple road out and get as much money as they could for the large portion of land," owner and operator of the three venues, Mick Krieg, said.
"We talk about all these buildings around Adelaide in a state of disrepair and whether we should keep them or not," he continued, "but this building is in good condition".
The venue is reportedly set to launch a crowdfunding campaign to assist in funding for a new location.
While he hopes to keep all three of his venues alive, Krieg concedes that it will be a tough ask.
"Hopefully we will be able to relocate them but it’s unlikely we’ll be able to keep them together," he said.
