Remi Announces Aussie Tour Dates In Honour Of New Mixtape

The local hip hop luminary will drop the first cut from 'Call It What You Want' next week

Acclaimed Aussie rapper Remi has had a stellar past 12 months, picking up a slew of awards for his lauded 2014 debut full-length Raw X Infinity in-between a packed touring schedule that took him to locales as far-off and fantastical as Austin's South By Southwest event earlier this year — but he's not ready to let up just yet.

In fact, from next Wednesday, 6 May, we will start to see the release of new mixtape Call it What You Want (F.Y.G. Act:2), the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2013 breakout F.Y.G. Act:1, on which we were introduced to standout early singles such as Sangria and Saggin. Featuring seven of Remi's all-time favourite tracks put through the sampling machine that is collaborator Sensible J, the full mixtape will be made available "soon" after the first track drops next Wednesday.

In celebration of the mixtape, Remi wll be heading out for a run of east- and south-coast shows in the wake of its release, for which he'll be joined by contemporary Hau as support. They'll kick off in Sydney on Saturday, 6 June, at the Come Together Festival, before dashing up the coast to hit Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge the following evening, Sunday, 7 June, back down to Melbourne to play the Northcote Social Club on Friday, 12 June, and wraps up across in Adelaide on Saturday, 13 June, when he plays the city's Rocket Bar.

Tickets for Remi's Call It What You Want Australian tour are available now, with the shows marking the Aussie faithful's last chance to feel the love in the flesh for a while before Remi sets his sights on Europe and the UK for a string of festival and club shows.
