The annual Red Hot Summer Tour returns in 2016 and in what will arguably the festival's biggest year yet, a number of Australia's most beloved musicians have been confirmed to perform throughout the country starting next January.

Announced on the bill today include Aussie royalty and national legend Jimmy Barnes, iconic rockers Noiseworks and The AngelsMark Seymour & The Undertow and The Badloves.

With 15 shows booked to take place throughout the country next year, festival promoter Duane McDonald confirmed the Red Hot Summer tour will be expanding to new areas.

"We always receive requests from audiences in regional areas to bring the tour through their town," McDonald said.

"This year we have expanded to take the Red Hot Summer Tour to new areas and new venues, which makes it the biggest run we have done for the tour to date. We can’t wait to get out on the road in 2016."
