Red Hot Chili Peppers will get started on work for studio album 11 in September. In an interview with Billboard, drummer Chad Smith confirmed the band will begin work for the album once they wrap up the I'm With You tour. A quote from the interview can be seen below.

"We’re probably looking at getting together in September and getting on a roll and starting to write songs for the next record. We always have little ideas percolating in jams and rehearsal warm-ups and soundchecks and gigs."
