Hudson Mohawke, HEALTH & More Named For 2016 Laneway Red Bull Music Academy Stage

Red Bull Music Academy will join forces with Sydney’s Laneway Festival and Syd City label Future Classic to present the best home-grown and international talent they can offer.

For a third year running, Red Bull Music Academy is back to take over Laneway with appearances by Academy alumnus Hudson Mohawke, who will jump on stage to introduce his follow-up track to Butter with Lanterns, as well as 2015 Academy Studio Team Member Thundercat, joined by the likes of LA’s experimental electro-rock band HEALTH, Golden State native and Cutthroat Boyz rapper Vince Staples, and dance music peakers SOPHIE + QT making their Australian live debut in addition to GoldLink and a host of other exciting features at the event.

Laneway Festival will be the first stop of feature events for Red Bull Music Academy Down Under next year as it builds on its fostering of live talent and signature events throughout the country, aligning forces with Future Classic in providing top notch line-ups for Australian audiences.

Laneway opens up in Adelaide at Hart’s Mall, (5 February), Brisbane Showgrounds, (6 February), Sydney’s College of The Arts, (7 February), FCAC, Footscray, Melbourne, (13 February) and Fremantle, Perth’s Esplanade Reserve and West End (14 February).
