Reclink Community Cup Reveals Sydney Launch Date

Get ready, Sydney – the Reclink Community Cup, recently announced to be returning to the city for its third charity Aussie-rules clash, has revealed that it will kick off with an official launch at Marrickville's The Vic On The Park on Sunday, July 13.

The exhibition match at the core of the cup, between the musically talented Western Walers and the endemically deranged media folk of the Sydney Sailors, is slated to blitz the renowned Henson Park on Sunday, August 17.

Before the friendly rivalry is reignited for the year, though, Reclink has seen fit to encourage revelry and camaraderie via its launch activites, proudly presented by theMusic.com.au, at The Vic, which run from 2pm and include special guests such as the Solid Gold Hell DJs as well as boasting team members from both warring sides and an open invitation for attendees to bring along their cherished mutts to the dog-friendly public space at 2 Addison Road, Marrickville.

The third annual Reclink Community Cup Sydney follows another successful run in Melbourne this year, which saw the muso-populated Rockdogs take out the title for yet another annum.

Gates will open at noon on the 17th, and entry will set you back a gold-coin donation. Smoking is not permitted at the grounds.
