We knew there were plans to expand the annual Reclink Community Cup and organisers have again delivered on their promise with the announcement that the event will also take place in Perth this August.
After this month's news that the Aussie Rules charity rules would take place in Adelaide, General Manager of RTRFM Jason Cleary says that they are excited to also bring the event out to Western Australia.
"The Reclink Community Cup is an institution in Melbourne and Sydney and I am extremely excited that we have been able to finally bring it West, I know our community will embrace it with open arms but very modest skills."
The teams will be made up of Perth musicians, aptly named the Bandgropers, who will go up against community media and industry figures with the team name the Newshounds at Steel Blue Oval in Bassendean.
The event, proudly presented by TheMusic will take place on Sunday, Aug 30 and tickets can be purchased tomorrow from 9am here.
