"Demand a better nightlife. Demand an end to political donations."

Just a month on from Keep Sydney Open's huge march to protest Sydney's lockout laws, Reclaim The Streets have organised another massive rally to draw attention to the "millionaires and billionaires who have stolen the city from us" by way of their lockout-free casinos.

Organisers write, "It’s obvious to everyone the casinos have bought themselves an exemption to the lockouts. It’s obvious to everyone that property developers are making a fortune building apartments where our dance floors once stood."

The protest also seeks to "Demand a better nightlife. Demand an end to political donations. Blow up the pokies and Reclaim The Streets!"

The Reclaim The Streets Protest Festival is due to take place this Saturday at 3pm from Sydney's Town Hall to The Star casino in Pyrmont, with nearly 9,000 people expected to show up to protest #CasinoMike and the building of the new high-rollers casino at Barangaroo.

The protest will have nearly 100 local artists of all genres playing across 17 stages, with acts like El Chino, 8 Diagram, Roleo, Friktion, Jawcep and more all slated in to play.

The news arrives just days on from NSW government announcing they will be meeting with lockout activists to discuss ideas on how to boost Sydney's nightlife.
