A rare opportunity
Self-proclaimed ‘Indigo Child’ and hip-hop prodigy Raury is getting set to embark on a pair of intimate headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne starting next month.
The Atlanta native will appear at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on 16 February along with a show at Melbourne’s Howler on 20 February. These shows are sure to showcase his eclectic sound that blends elements of both soul and folk music into the world of hip-hop.
Since his impressive performance at last year's Laneway Festival, Raury has made appearances on a host of late night talk shows and taken the stage at some of the biggest international festivals including Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.
Accompanying him at both shows will be local artist and producer JOY. Coming off the back of her debut self-produced EP Ode that dropped mid last year, JOY. has experienced similar success to her touring partner, sharing the stage with world class artists and selling out headline shows of her own.
Raury’s most current work, Friends, sees him team up with ex-Rage Against The Machine guitarist turned solo artist Tom Morello in a jam that is sure to get the attention of audiences and critics alike. Check out the video below.
