The song marks another taste from the WA four-piece's forthcoming debut LP

Perth-based indie pop stalwarts Rainy Day Women are rolling in good news at the moment, from the announcement of their fresh signing to esteemed booker the 123 Agency to the release of their brand new single – and debut LP taster – Mars.

Following on from their warmly received earlier singles Friends and Ain't It Time?, both released in 2012, the fun-loving four-piece have dug a little deeper into the complexity stakes for the new cut, a sunny little number with an easy amble behind it that highlights the band's strong '60s ties with its gorgeously flowy vocals and luscious, slowly rolling soundscapes.

The band very recently dropped the video for the new single online, and you can have a gander at it below, if you haven't done so already.

Mars is the first taste from Rainy Day Women's forthcoming debut LP, also titled Ain't It Time?, for which they are well placed and expectations are high, with the band having taken out the 2013 Laneway Festival/triple j Unearthed competition as well as winning the WAMi for Best Pop Act Of The Year.

Meanwhile, the boys' signing with 123 places them in the high-profile company of artists such as Bonjah, Calling All Cars, Delta Riggs, Ella Hooper, Kingswood, Luca Brasi, Stonefield and Yeo, not to mention a number of other impressive soloists and bands. It's pretty easy to see that this marks a massive step forward for the acclaimed West Australian act.

If you're not one for pictures so much, Rainy Day Women have also uploaded Mars to their SoundCloud page, so you can enjoy it in its purest form, too.

Mars is out now, and is available via iTunes.

Rainy Day Women will launch their Ain't It Time? LP on October 1 at Perth's Amplifier Bar. See their Facebook page for details.
