“We are thrilled to be opening entries for the QMAs and to end this year on a high note."
Nominations are now open to eligible emerging and established artists across Queensland for the 2021 QMAs.
Produced and presented by QMusic, next year’s Queensland Music Awards will take place at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on April 20, celebrating some of the best music and artists the state has to offer.
Entries are now open across a wide range of self-nominating categories, with artists and bands who have released new music from 30 November 2019 to 1 December 2020 eligible to enter until 11:59pm (AEST) on January 14.
“We are thrilled to be opening entries for the QMAs and to end this year on a high note,” QMusic CEO Angela Samut said.
“The past 12 months have been extremely tough on our industry, however there has been such inspiring and groundbreaking music released in 2020 along with creative and unique music videos that we expect the 2021 Awards to be competitive and a night of celebration.”
Two new categories have also been announced for next year’s event, including Contemporary Classical and Children's Music.
