Queen's resurgence on the ARIA charts is set to continue this week and it's all thanks to Freddie Mercury biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody.
While the Golden Globe-winning film's soundtrack is set to top the Albums chart for a third straight week (12th week in the top 50), midweek figures suggest Queen's 1991-released Greatest Hits II compilation is also primed to climb the chart after placing at #29 last week.
The iconic UK outfit's The Platinum Collection and Greatest Hits records should also again challenge for spots in the top five.
Prior to 2018, Queen had not had a year-end top ten album in Australia this century, but as noted in ARIA's end of year charts released last week, scored two - Bohemian Rhapsody (#5) and Greatest Hits (#8).
As Bohemian Rhapsody is expected to feature in several categories at next month's Oscars (nominations to be announced next week), it's likely the soundtrack will continue to challenge for #1 on the Albums chart for at least the next few weeks.
Other albums debuting on the chart this week includes Benny Blanco's Friends Keep Secrets (top 10) and Randy Houser's Magnolia (top 30).
Over on the Singles chart, Post Malone and Swae Lee should be able to clinch three straight weeks at #1 with Sunflower, as no debuting songs are expected to land in the top ten.
New entries include Sam Smith and Normani's Dancing With A Stranger (top 30), Gesaffelstein and The Weeknd's Lost In The Fire (top 40) and Dominic Fike's 3 Nights (top 50).
