QMusic Workshop Series Announce Program

Networking opps and workshops for Brisbane artists/bands.

QMusic has announced details for the 2012 Professional Development Series taking place in Brisbane during November.

The sessions will take place on three consecutive Tuesdays to assist artists and bands with their professional careers, with workshop topics ranging from the export market to publishing, distribution and royalties. The three workshops are listed below.

Full Day Masterclass: Understanding Publishing, Distribution, Sync And Royalties

Tuesday 13 November
This full day masterclass explores the mysteries of publishing, distribution, sync and royalties. Speakers include Nick O'Byrne (General Manager of the Australian Independent Record Labels Association - AIR), Matt Tanner (Native Tongue Publishing), Chris O'Neill (APRA) and Tyler McLoughlan (The Sound Pound).

Free Workshop: Understanding The Export Market
Judith Wright Centre
Tuesday 20 November, 6-8pm
A discussion of the pros and cons of taking your band overseas, showcase opportunities and international conferences. Speakers include Blake Rayner (International A&R and Licensing - Dew Process), Maggie Collins (Manager - DZ Deathrays, John Steele Singers), Kellie Lloyd (self-managed artists) and Joe Woolley (Grand Atlantic).
