After two weeks of voting, the results are in and the 2017 Queensland Music Awards have narrowed it down to two finalists per bracket for this year's BOQ People's Choice Awards.
Gold Coast songtress and in-demand muso Amy Shark will go head-to-head with one-time Eurovision contestant Dami Im for the title of Most Popular Female; ex-Powderfinger frontman and acclaimed solo artist Bernard Fanning faces off against lauded vocalist Jarryd James in the Most Popular Male stakes; and veteran sibling duo The Veronicas are up against beloved indie four-piece Cub Sport in the category of Most Popular Group.
The winner of all three will be announced at this year's prizegiving ceremony in just a couple of weeks' time along with the results across the awards' other categories, including industry-centric brackets such as Highest Selling Single, Highest Selling Album and the Export Achievement Award, the inaugural iteration of which was won last year by local hit-machines Sheppard.
The 2017 Qld Music Awards will be held at the Brisbane Powerhouse on Monday 27 March. Limited public tickets are available via the theatre's box office.
