“The natural festival site is a similar size to North Byron Parklands, so there is plenty of opportunity to host both small and large-scale events with international artists and multiple stages.”
The team behind iconic Qld venues Eatons Hill Hotel and Sandstone Point Hotel have come together for another monumental venture, announcing Coochin Fields, one of the largest-ever privately owned festival and camping sites in the state.
Located in the picturesque Coochin Creek area, the site is approximately 150 hectares or about as big as 22 football fields and sits 35 minutes south of Marrochydore and an hour and a half from Brisbane. The site is nestled in nature and home to turf and strawberry farms, which will remain operational as the site welcomes world-class festivals and performances from top-tier artists.
Comiskey Group Director Rob Comiskey explained his excitement for the space and highlighted their experience at the forefront of the entertainment industry, stating, "We are ready to take things to the next level, exceed expectations and bring another great entertainment facility to this incredible community."
Comiskey also teased at forthcoming large-scale camping festivals, reminiscent of the events we know and love and bringing a similar structure to the Sunshine Coast.
“I am excited to bring something special to the Sunshine Coast,” he explains.
