Cooler-than-thou Canadian duo Purity Ring have this morning announced national tour dates to coincide with their Golden Plains appearance next year.

Earlier this year Corin Roddick and Megan James released their debut record Shrines and became an instant favourite of tastemakers around the world. Weaving dream and synth pop influences over an indie-dance base, at the moment they almost seem timeless and are one of the chief attractions on the Golden Plains line-up – their live show enhanced by hypnotising visuals.

With tickets on sale now, dates are as follows:

Wednesday 6 March – Oxford Art Factory, Sydney Tickets
Friday 8 March – Corner Hotel, Melbourne Tickets
Sunday 10 March – The Zoo, Brisbane Tickets

Also announced today from the Golden Plains ranks is the headline club shows for dream-pop kid Wild Nothing, who will use the festival to make his debut Australian tour. Performing with his full five-piece live band, Jack Tatum will be visiting venues across the east coast on the back of this year's record Nocturne (and come to think of it his breakout debut Gemini.
